Philly Company Spark Therapeutics Investing $575m Toward Gene Therapy Center on Drexel’s Campus

Drexel was featured in a Dec. 18 WHYY story about a new partnership between Drexel and Spark Therapeutics that will bring a state-of-the art gene therapy innovation center to the University City campus. Through a 99-year ground lease of Drexel’s F Lot, the new center, a $575 million investment, will be located at the intersection of 30th and Chestnut Streets and will create opportunities for collaboration with Drexel and Philadelphia’s booming life sciences community.
